How to reach Mahalaxmi Racecourse
Take a Western Railway local to Mahalaxmi station, or use Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line) to Mahalaxmi or Science Museum station. Both days fall on a weekend, so local trains run on the Sunday timetable on the second day; check for any planned megablocks on your line that weekend. Roads around Mahalaxmi, Haji Ali and Jacob Circle get very busy in the evening, so public transport is usually quicker.
Tips
- Carry a valid photo ID and your ticket on your phone.
- Check the festival’s list of allowed and banned items before you leave.
- Plan your return: Metro Line 3 closes earlier than the Western line locals.
- Wear comfortable shoes; the racecourse ground is large and you will walk a lot between stages.
