About Sunburn Mumbai 2026
Sunburn started in Goa and became one of Asia’s biggest dance music events. After moving to Mumbai, the festival is now heading to Mahalaxmi Racecourse, a large open ground in the heart of the city that is usually used for horse racing. Its central location makes it far easier to reach by public transport than the Goa beaches ever were.

How to reach Mahalaxmi Racecourse
By local train
Take a Western Railway local to Mahalaxmi station, the nearest stop to the racecourse. Slow locals from Churchgate and from the western suburbs stop here. See our Mumbai local train guide for routes and timings.
By metro
Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line) has stations at Mahalaxmi and Science Museum near the racecourse, with links to Churchgate, CSMT, BKC and the airport side of the city. The metro shuts earlier than the locals at night, so plan your return journey.
By road
Expect heavy traffic and restricted parking around Mahalaxmi, Haji Ali and Jacob Circle on both evenings. If you take a cab, ask to be dropped a short walk away from the gates rather than queuing in the jam.
