How to reach Kharghar

By local train

Kharghar station is on the Harbour line between Belapur and Panvel. Panvel-bound locals from CSMT stop here, and you can also change at Vashi or Belapur if you are coming from Thane via the Trans-Harbour line. See our Mumbai local train guide for timings.

By metro

Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 runs from Belapur through Kharghar to Pendhar, with several stations in Kharghar, including Amandoot. Depending on where the festival gates are, it can be a handy link from Belapur or Kharghar station.

By road

From South Mumbai, the Atal Setu (Mumbai Trans Harbour Link) gets you to Navi Mumbai in well under an hour outside peak traffic. From the western suburbs and Thane, the Sion–Panvel Highway is the main route. Expect heavy traffic and paid parking near the venue.

Tips

  • Carry a valid photo ID; entry rules at festivals of this size are strict.
  • Check the last Harbour line train from Kharghar to your station before you go.
  • Wear sneakers and sun protection; gates open in the afternoon.
  • Fix a meeting point with friends, as phone networks slow down in big crowds.
