Mumbai: Harbour Line Activities Are Impacted After a Man Climbs on a Local Train at CSMT

According to an official, a guy climbed on the roof of a local train at CSMT on Monday night, disrupting the train timetable and affecting suburban services on the Harbour line of the Central Railway for over 30 minutes.

He claimed that at around 9.20 p.m., a guy mounted the upper deck of a local train on platform number 2 of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), cutting off the overhead wire supply for 25 minutes.

After security guards successfully took the man off from the train’s rooftop, the services resumed around 9.45 p.m.

However, a CR official said that the incident resulted in a delay in train operation on the Harbour line section that connects south Mumbai with Navi Mumbai and the Western Suburbs.

He stated that train services departing from CSMT’s platform number 1 are operating regularly.

He claimed the incident happened after peak hour when trains were less crowded. There are no specifics about the man as yet.
